Qiyao Xiong is a Chinese creative and technical apparel designer currently pursuing a B.S. at Iowa State University in the United States. The design concept of Xiong consists of personal stories, oriental motifs, as well as western runway silhouettes. In 2019, Xiong has showcased her environmental conscious collection at the Omaha Fashion Week, minimal sportswear lines at the Iowa State Fashion Show, and a digitally designed garment at the International Textile and Apparel Association Conference in Las Vegas. In February 2020, Xiong took the first step of her business by proposing her eponymous label 71 XIONG at the college entrepreneur pitch competition. Furthermore, she is going to bring her senior capstone to the University Fashion Show in April 2020.
